“Green Dreams: Imagining a Sustainable Tomorrow”
Prompt: Take a mental snapshot of a sustainable tomorrow. What do you see?
SLIA’s inaugural art contest has been created to give students ages 8-18 a fun summer activity and the opportunity to envision the future they want to see and inspire environmental change through their art!
We encourage originality and creativity and look forward to receiving your submissions!
ENTRY RULES
- Submit your artwork here. (Maximum of two submissions. Fill out the form again for the second submission.)
- Artwork:
- Should be original (No: AI, plagiarism, or tracing)
- Acceptable mediums include: Paper (minimum size 8.5” x 11”), 3D sculpture or art, & digital art (must be able to print out)
- All art devices accepted (Pen, Paint, Colored pencil, charcoal, and more!)
- $50 Target GC awarded to one person in each of the categories.
- All submissions will be displayed at a special Sustainable Art Showcase for you, your family and the community to view and enjoy. Honorable mentions & the winners of each category will be announced at the Art Showcase.
AUCTION
Some artwork will be selected to be auctioned off at Sustainable Contra Costa’s Annual Leadership in Sustainability Awards Gala on September 18. The auction funds will go towards our youth-led team, Sustainable Leaders In Action (SLIA), who create the change they want to see in their communities by involving their fellow youth to raise awareness about sustainability.
