- Does my nominee need to live and work in Contra Costa County to be nominated?
They don’t need to personally reside in Contra Costa, but the work that they are nominated for needs to primarily occur in the county.
2. Is the nomination process anonymous? What if I want it to be?
You will have a chance on the nomination form to let us know you’d like to be anonymous.
- How will the award winner be recognized?
All nominees will be recognized, and winners announced, at the awards gala on September 18, and on the Sustainable Contra Costa website.
4. How many people can I nominate?
As many as you would like.
5.Can someone nominate themselves?
Yes!
The Leadership in Sustainability Awards Are Aligned With The One Planet Living Principles
Nominated project/Individuals will be evaluated on the following 8 criteria:
*Nominee/Project’s efforts to promote economic prosperity.
*Nominee/Project’s efforts to positively impact environmental health.
*Nominee/Project’s efforts to address social justice and ensure equal access to the project for all, especially underserved communities.
*Nominee is a model for others – something others could adopt as a process or business model.
*Partnerships and collaboration.
*Uniqueness of program.
*Level of organization-wide involvement. If applicable, how involved in the project are staff and volunteers throughout the organization?
*Scope of involvement or impact. How many people benefit from the project? In what ways does the project impact the community?
