16th Annual Leadership in Sustainability Awards Gala – A Memorable Night

We’re grateful and inspired! On September 18 our community came together for the 16th Annual Leadership in Sustainability Awards Gala & Fundraiser to celebrate and honor those who demonstrate outstanding commitment and leadership in making Contra Costa communities healthy, beautiful, clean, and resilient. County Supervisor John Gioia was master of ceremonies, along with other special guests. The awards program also featured our Partners Central Contra Costa Sanitary District presenting their Pollution Prevention Awards, as well as the Contra Costa Green Business Program presenting new and re-certified green businesses.

The event at the beautiful Pleasant Hill Community Center began with a reception with delicious food prepared by Chef Cindy Gershen, as well as contributions from our local, sustainable Partners, such as Pacific Coast Farmers Market Association, Farm Fresh to You, Casa de pescado de la costa oeste de Pacific Catch, Captain y Viñedos Viano, y Cervecería Calicraft.
